About me
My name is Kirsty Saxon and I'm the photographer behind Shutterbug Photography, based in Methven, New Zealand. I have many years practical experience as a photographer, and completed my Diploma in Digital Photography in 2017 with the Southern Institute of Technology.
My style of photography is relaxed and fun. I take a mixture of casual and posed photographs, and love capturing your images in colour and black and white.
In the past I have photographed public and private events, weddings, commercial work, as well as pregnancy, birth, newborn, family & portrait sessions. I am also available for a small amount of preschool, school and team photographs. In the past, I have worked as a photojournalist and writer for a small Marlborough based magazine, as well as being a regular contributor to the Northland Age during our time living in the Far North.
In my other work I am currently the Editor of Multiple Matters, the official magazine of Multiples New Zealand, as well as being a teacher with a Masters in Education. So part of my work in the past was teaching photography to students at Kaitaia Intermediate. I am married to Jack, and we have three children - Ruby, Xavier & Lilian.
